The nursing care team at New England Pediatrics is on hand to respond to changes in the residents care during the school day, and collaborates with education staff to ensure that their medical plan is followed during school hours. We have a staff of well trained, skilled school nurses available throughout the school day to attend to the medical needs of students in the classroom setting.
Collaboration with our Rehabilitation staff allows the residents rehab goals to be carried through their day, and orthopedic equipment is appropriately monitored and applied as needed to ensure optimum benefits. Passive range of motion activities are a part of the residents daily care, and are carried out 7 days per week. Staff is experienced in botox and phenol muscle blocking, serial casting, and intrathecal baclofen pump maintainance.
